Air Show Schedule 2013
The Southend Festival of the Air 2013 event has been cancelled due to budget cuts.[1] A Save Southend Airshow petition has been started.
The first annual seafront airshow took to the skies on Monday 26 May 1986 as the Grand Finale of the Southend Spring Festival. Concorde appeared 1986-88 Pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/search/show/?q=southend+airshow+1986&w=26359504%40N08
This was the only year that there was a fee charged to enter the cordoned-off display area from Shorefields Road to the Three Shells. Adults were charged £3 whilst children aged 3–16 paid £1.
